"We had toured in Europe before but had never been to Australia and it was kind of like beating our heads against a wall over in Europe compared to here because there's just been so much more of a similiar vibe of interest here; being in LA and now touring these sort of beach towns is exactly what we're into and it's just been by far our best overseas tour - night and day better than our European tour before, and we just really dig it here and are definately planning on coming back next year"

23.10.05 - Speak Easy for Single #2
P-Nut has all but confirmed Speak Easy as the second single off Don't Tread on Me. The band had hinted earlier that Frolic Room would be chosen, but it seems now they are set on Speak Easy.
The first single, title track Don't Tread on Me, performed very well making it to #2 on the Modern Rock Charts. It fell short of becoming 311's 3rd #1 hit by a tight margin after NIN's "Only" made a strong surge right at it's peak.
27.08.05 - DTOM Video!
The video for Don't Tread on Me will be hitting American TV very soon (and hopefully we will follow), and in the meantime has been released online by the 311 Street Team. You can check out the video (streaming) here, and a few screen caps of the video below (thanks kindly to Dana on the ubb):

Hopefully the clip will be picked up by Rage and Channel V in the coming weeks. Be sure to start requesting this video on Channel V/MTV/Vh1 whenever you can.
16.08.05 - 8/16 at last!
311's 8th studio album entitled "Don't Tread on Me" was released today in the US. An Australian release date is yet to be set, but as soon as we hear news from Peter of 311 Management we will let you know. Keep checking the forums for regular updates. In the meantime you can purhcase the album from amazon.com and various other online CD stores.
The first single off DTOM of the same name is doing well in the US currently sitting at #6 on the alternative charts. The single is likely to peak soon given the release of the album and a video due out at the end of the month, so we urge you to begin requesting 311 on radio whenever you can! When the video is released we can begin working on Rage, Channel V etc. A well-received single will increase the likelihood of a CD release, which of course will help 311 in Australia. For request details go here.
